Course Overview

At Kwadaso Agricultural College, we believe that every Ghanaian household has the potential to feed itself and earn from its own land, however small that space may be. The Home Garden Vegetable Production short course was designed for exactly that purpose: to give you the practical skills, the right seeds, and the confidence to start growing immediately.

In two to four weeks, you will learn everything from preparing your soil and choosing the right crops for your space and season, to managing pests, harvesting at the right time, and handling your produce. Our facilitators are experienced agricultural practitioners who teach in both English and Twi, making sure every participant can follow and apply what they learn, not just in the classroom, but at home.

This course is grounded in KAC's decades of agricultural training experience. You will train on our demonstration farm, get your hands in the soil from day one, and leave with a starter kit so you can begin planting immediately after completing the course. There are no exams and no prior farming experience required, just a willingness to learn and grow.

Whether you are a household looking to cut your food bill, a young person seeking a practical skill, a farmer wanting to add vegetables to your operation, or a community group looking to support food security in your area, this course is built for you
